Good Morning Gentle Readers:
I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some mid-level governmental functionary with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts squirting out babies.
I didn't realize Dr. Seuss was a genius until I had a kid.
I believe no one ever died because of something Ozzy Osbourne, Ice-T, or Marilyn Manson sang.
Sound familiar? Bad American is making the email rounds once again, this time in a particularly lame version attributed to George Carlin (with picture). This screed just gets to the heart of what annoys a whole lot of people, which explains the ongoing popularity.
It dates back several years and was originally attributed to Ted Nugent (in some versions it is attributed to Andy Rooney, Rush Limbaugh, or Dennis Leary) and also appeared on Ted's website for a while.
However, Andy Rooney didn’t write it, nor did the Wild Man, Dennis Leary, or George Carlin. All have publicly denied writing it although Nugent implied that he wished he had written it and he heartily endorses it.
Truth is I can't see George Carlin or Andy Rooney saying much of this stuff at all. It's just just not their style and it certainly isn't their politics. Ted Nugent is another story however.
The original version appears here and was called (ironically) I Am A Bad Republican.
Happy Happy to my fav photographer, Sharon K as she puts another wrinkle on her birthday cake today
