Loud peals of thunder, some spectacular lightning strikes, and a tease of welcome rain arrived a little while ago at Casa de las Rocas Grande. Okay, so it ain't enough to matter (UPDATE: It rained cats and pigs all night. A good old-fashioned midwest-style thunderstorm with Vincent Price theatrics that woke us a dozen times.),
but and the fresh breeze coming through the open windows smells good. The dogs hadn't heard thunder before and apparently lit out for somewhere else.
Look carefully at the rainbow and you'll see the setting sun has leached the colors from it. Wish I'd had the camera about three minutes sooner.
And then this....
Blackie's back, Daisy might still be running. Still sprinkling. Actually raining down the hill.
