Good Morning Gentle Readers:
September 15, 2005 is the magic due date for the following federal income tax items. The date is also applicable for most states with filing requirements:
- Tax returns are due for calendar-year-end corporate taxpayers who filed an extension for tax year 2004.
- Estimated Tax Payments: The third installment of 2005 income taxes is due for all calendar-year taxpayers who pay quarterly estimated income tax payments. This includes individuals and other entities.
- Tax returns are due for calendar year taxpayers with employee benefit plans that are required to file form 5500 or 5500EZ and who filed for an addtional extension.
- Fiscal year taxpayers with a year-end of June 30, 2005 must file a tax return or an extension.
