Seven months after the US Supers decided that buying wine from out-of-state wineries or vendors shouldn't be illegal what is the practical effect? Here's an indication from a recent email.
Just a note to tell you that for the first time I'm able to receive wine shipments from Colgin Winery. I don't know all the details as to why some states have been allowed and some states still aren't. I'm sure that the IJ (Institute For Justice) win at the Supreme Court has something to do with it. I know that there was something about having to actually contest a case at state level and with the SC precedent, the outcome is all but assured. There still may be other factors but about 12 states have been added to their 'regular' list that weren't listed at any time in the past.
Exciting news, Indeed. TWC had this take on the Supreme Court decision back in May.
