Mom was about 22 when this was taken. Happy Mother's Day Ma!
Yes, that's me. I was better looking in the old days.
Then there's my kid's mom, Mrs TWC. Sometimes you think about where you've been and the chicks you've known and how things could have gone so very wrong or ended up entirely different. Some of those women...I mean, what if one of the crazed psychotics was raising your baby?
But it didn't work out that way and, it wasn't exactly just luck. Still, it's a frightening scenario that can, at times, wake you up in a cold sweat.
On this day (more so than most), I can't imagine anyone that I'd rather be the mother of my children. I'm a Jewish mom about it too, laying the guilt trip on those kids. You guys are sooooo-oh lucky. You better remember this when Mom's old and stuck in a rickety wheelchair with bad brakes. You better read her books and bring her flowers.
I'm relentless. Hope it takes.
Update: Mrs TWC cooked those kids a breakfast of sausage & eggs with waffles covered with raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, genuine Canuck Maple Syrup, & whipped cream. She figured that wasn't enough of a blood sugar spike so she threw in a tall glass of chocolate milk.
Katie's Mother's Day wish is here.
Update: Four Generations, three moms and a House Blond
