Good Morning Gentle Readers,
Yesterday, a friend completed her final treatment in a lengthy and arduous battle with the Big C. She won. A beautiful day.
SASOB's got electricity down in Texas for the first time in twelve days. A beautiful day.
Somebody's leaving on a jet plane in the morning, bound for the Heart Land. A beautiful day.
As is my early morning custom, I walked out beyond the ridge with the dogs. They flushed an unsuspecting covey of quail then streaked after a fat cottontail, howling like the Reaper's minions.
Like library basements in small towns, it was dusty cool down where the narrow track follows the dry creek bottom. Warmer as the land rises. The sun, barely off the horizon, sultry going to hot as it strikes my face. A beautiful day.
It's a beautiful day.
Don't let it get away.
