Winter Sunset at the Wedge

Good Morning Gentle Readers,

Technically, this isn't quite The Wedge, which is off camera to the left on the other side of the pier. My old friend Jim Stagner loved to body surf at The Wedge.

Surfers bob in the water (in December) and you, Gentle Reader, are looking directly at Santa Catalina Island (26 Miles Across The Sea). Catalina was once entirely owned by the the Wrigley family of chewing gum and Cubbie fame. Not to mention the minor league Los Angeles Angels of yore, who played at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles.

Bonus:

What? You were expecting the Four Preps?

For the record, Catalina is not tropical.
