Good Morning Gentle Readers,
We here in the Southland have been whining about needin' a little rain and now we got some. Sideways and freezing.
Tuesday it took 4WD to get outta here to fetch the kids from school. The roads were running a foot deep in muddy water.
The most curious thing I've seen was the guy throwing the FLOODED sign into the back of the county pickup truck while the foot deep water was still zipping across Temescal Canyon Road at a pretty good clip. Figured it musta been getting close to quitting time.
My rain deprived kids were scootering in the driveway earlier whilst being pelted by 38 degree gale driven wind. Now they're out there in the dark while the wind batters the Casa like a freight train. Or maybe that was a tornado blowing by on Lakeridge drive down the hill.
During a lull between storms, on the way down the hill to liberate the children from their daily incarceration in public school I happened upon a rainbow.
There's that wind again. A little worrisome with Mrs TWC's plane due in a coupla hours.
As Ever,
TWC
