Good Morning Gentle Readers,
This is really a very nice wine. Course, I am partial to the three grapes that went into the making of it. I especially enjoy a stand-alone Petit Verdot, which isn't all that easy to find. And, I'm a Malbec fan. Argentina continues to produce some incredibly delicious Malbecs, which is ordinarily a blending grape, at very good prices.
Wine Enthusiast gives the 2011 a 92.....
Trisagio is a Malbec-led blend with Cab Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. It's a dense wine offering the full allotment of berry, earth and meaty aromas. Plump and layered across the palate, this tastes of chocolaty oak, baking spices, herbs, cassis and a pinch of salt. A long, pure finish is a nice topping; drink through 2021.
WE lists that price at $30.00. I think I picked up a half dozen some time back for around $15.00-$18.00. Unfortunately, at the moment the wine doesn't seem widely available.
